Everyday Try to eat half of your plate with colorful fruits or vegetables at every meal. You can have them raw, roasted, or blended in smoothies, adding more fruits and veggies is a simple way to boost your nutrition.
When I was on Weight loss, I used to eat plate full of raw Fruit salad or raw Vegetable salad before having main food meal. It helped me in Weight loss and also kept me healthier. When we eat Fruits and vegetables before meal, then we consume less meal food.
2. Drink Plenty of Water
Our body consists of 75% of water. Staying hydrated is very important for good health. Water helps your body function properly, keeps your skin looking fresh, and supports digestion. Always try to drink 6-8 glasses of water daily. If you don’t like to drink plain water, you can try adding slices of lemon, cucumber, or mint for extra flavor.
Drinking water in proper quantity helps us to maintain pH level of body, which helps in keeping our skin healthier and our complexion better.
3. Eat Breakfast Daily
Never Skip your breakfast, because resting full night, our body needs energy to restart. Starting your day with a healthy breakfast gives you the energy you need and helps to kick-start your metabolism. You should Include protein, whole grains, and fruits for a balanced breakfast meal. Try oatmeal with berries, scrambled eggs with veggies, or a smoothie with spinach and almond butter.
Breakfast is considered most important meal for our health and proper functioning of our body, by Dieticians. Hence, Always Eat Breakfast as King, Lunch as Prince and Dinner as beggar.
4. Control Portion Sizes of meal
Our health probably depends on what we eat and in what quantity hence, Eating the right amount of food is just as important as eating the right foods. You should Pay attention to portion sizes, especially when eating out at restaurant, their portions tend to be larger. Eating mindfully and stopping when you’re satisfied, not full, can help you avoid overeating.
Stop eating food when you feel that your stomach is 75% full, because our brain signals us, that we are full, 15 mins after we stop eating.
5. Choose Whole Grains
Eat Whole grains like brown rice, quinoa, and whole wheat bread which are rich in fiber, vitamins, and minerals compared to refined grains. They help with better digestion and keep you full longer, which can prevent unhealthy snacking.
6. Eat Seafood
Seafoods such as fish, crabs, prawns are good for our health. Seafood are high in protein, low in saturated fats and also good source of important nutrients like Omega fatty acid, vitamins and minerals. Hence, including Seafood in our diet keeps our body healthy, especially brain, eyes and immune system.
7. Limit Sugary Drinks
Sugar is a sweet poison. Limit or Stop drinking sugary drinks. Sugary drinks like soda, sweetened juices, and energy drinks are fully loaded with extra calories and offer very little nutritional value. Instead of drinking sugary drinks, Opt for water, herbal tea, or unsweetened drinks. If you crave something sweet, try naturally flavored water or a smoothie made with fresh fruits.
Cold drinks and packed juices only increases your calories, leading to weight gain, sometimes also making you diabetic.
8. Limit your Salt intake
Salt is compulsory used in our food for taste. But, Increase in Salt will lead to many health problems. Hence Limiting the salt intake in your meal can help prevent cardiovascular disease and lower your blood pressure.
Salt contains Sodium, increase intake of sodium is not good for health. WHO recommends only 2000 mg/day of sodium, i.e. only 5000 mg/day of salt.
9. Snack Smart
Snacking in between meals are good for your body, only if you choose right food for snacking. Many of us eat Chips, chocolates, biscuits for snacks, these are not good for health. Instead of eating chips or candies, try dry fruits, yogurt, fruits. These snacks are fully pack of nutrients that help you to keep your energy steady between meals.

For making food quickly we sometimes make meals from processed foods. But, we don’t know that, Processed foods are very high in unhealthy fats, sugar, and sodium. Instead of processed foods, eat whole, natural foods like fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. Cook your food more at home, which will gives you better control over what goes into your meals.
12. Listen to Your Body
You should Learn to listen to your body’s hunger and fullness cues. Eat food only when you’re truly hungry and stop eating when you feel satisfied can help you maintain a healthy body weight and prevent overeating. It’s okay to enjoy treats in limit, but try to make mindful food choices.
